New Consumer Data Privacy Law
The California legislature recently enacted a new and expansive consumer data privacy law. This new law will require covered businesses to comply with strict requirements on the collection, use and disclosure of “personal information” on California residents. The law was enacted in late June and will take effect on January 1, 2020.
