Regulatory Overreach, Failed Union Agenda Threaten Businesses and Workers

The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW), representing the vital $8.2 trillion wholesale distribution industry and its 6 million American workers, strongly opposes the renomination of Julie Su as Secretary of Labor.

Brian Wild, Chief Government Affairs Officer at NAW, issued the following statement:

“Nothing says out of control bureaucracy better than the renomination of an already failed nominee. While Americans struggle with worker shortages, inflation, and supply chain disruptions, they need solutions, not a Labor Secretary who pursues a destructive agenda that stifles economic growth and increases costs for Americans. The President is tone-deaf to the will of the Senate and should go back to the drawing board and find a qualified Secretary of Labor.”

The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) is one of America’s leading trade associations, representing the $8.2 trillion wholesale distribution industry. Founded in 1946, NAW comprises national, regional, and state employers of all sizes, industry trade associations, partners, and stakeholders spanning all distribution sectors. Our industry employs more than 6 million workers throughout the United States, accounting for 1/3 of the U.S. GDP. 35,000 wholesale distribution companies operate nearly 150,000 places of business across North America, including all 50 states.
