The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW), the Washington, DC-based trade association representing the 30,000 company, $7 trillion revenue distribution industry, is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the team.

From working groups to networking events to major conferences, the Project Coordinator will play an integral role in supporting this dynamic team.

Essential Job Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, each essential job responsibility must be performed satisfactorily.  Other responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Program Content Development & Delivery
    • Work directly with speakers to prepare them for NAW programs, including gathering bios, presentations, etc.
    • Compile information to be distributed in program agendas and events app
    • Collect and review presentations from confirmed speakers ensuring consistency of content and imagery
    • Develop and produce program materials
  • Event Management
    • Plan and organize event details including the following:
      • Food & Beverage
      • Venue
      • Printed Materials
      • Attendees
      • Photographer
      • Event extras
    • Help to maintain and update the NAW app. This includes working with multiple outside providers on design work, informational input, and account management
    • Work in Salesforce to create event campaigns, pull registration lists, and register members who need assistance
    • Assist with Innovation and Thought Leadership projects as assigned
  • Innovation Initiatives
    • Podcast & webinar set-up

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of work experience, preferably in events or programs
  • Experience in project and cross-functional teamwork
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and plan ahead
  • Effective communicator with solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relationship-build
  • Salesforce experience desired, but not required

Work Environment:  The position is located at our headquarters in Washington, D.C., near Metro Center. Currently, we are operating a hybrid work model, where employees are in the office Tuesday-Thursday, which is a standard office environment, and are given an option to work remotely most Mondays and Fridays. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Member Programs.
