NAW supports Congress advancing a budget resolution that calls for preventing a tax increase on millions of America’s small businesses. Passing a budget with at least $4.5 trillion in revenue targets is an important first step toward comprehensive legislation necessary to preserve current tax policy and empower small businesses. The budget currently before the Budget Committee lays the groundwork for pro-growth, pro-worker measures—including the 199A small business deduction, favorable individual tax rates, and a doubled standard deduction—that empower companies to modernize operations, enhance logistics, and adopt new technologies. Providing consistent pro-growth tax policy is critical to mitigating the impact of global supply chain disruptions, ensuring that goods move efficiently from production to market, and ultimately safeguarding the financial well-being of workers and the stability of our national economy.
