In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruled that President Trump does not have authority to impose tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). The opinion is authored by Chief Justice Roberts, with concurring opinions by Justices Gorsuch, Justice Barrett, and Jackson, and dissenting opinions by Justices Thomas and Kavanaugh.
