Washington, DC – The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) today released the following statement in support of the newly-released bipartisan COVID-19 relief legislation.

From Eric Hoplin, NAW President and CEO:

“Throughout the pandemic, America’s distribution industry and its 5.4 million employees have kept the supply chain moving, ensuring businesses and families get the products and goods they depend on. The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors strongly supports today’s bipartisan COVID-19 relief legislation and its efforts to expand and improve the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), ensure the deductibility of business expenses paid with PPP funds, and provide liability protections.

“For business owners throughout our industry and across the country, deductibility of expenses paid with PPP funds is not only a key component of today’s legislation, but it reflects the clear intent of Congress earlier this year. We urge Congress to pass this legislation and provide the relief American businesses and workers deserve.”
