NAW’s work on commercial products acquisition reform program enacted in last year’s defense authorization bill and which since has focused on the General Services Administration (GSA), took turns back to Capitol Hill and to the White House this week. On April 17, NAW President Dirk Van Dongen sent a letter to the chairs and ranking minority members of the House and Senate armed services, governmental affairs, and small business committees outlining in considerable detail NAW’s concerns with GSA’s implementation plan which includes agency-recommended legislative changes to the Procurement Through Commercial E-Commerce Portals program. Today, Van Dongen transmitted a letter to President Donald Trump urging reconsideration of GSA’s overall implementation plan.
