May 17, 2025 – NAW Supports the One Big Beautiful Bill and urges members of the House of Representatives to support and vote for the pro-growth, pro-worker legislation.
This bill contains numerous tax provisions that benefit small businesses and workers and will help ensure wholesaler-distributors can continue reinvesting in their businesses, their workforce, and their local communities.
By making the 199A deduction permanent and expanding it to 23%, this legislation provides continued tax relief for millions of small businesses across the country organized as S-corporations, LLCs, and partnerships including the majority of wholesaler-distributors.
The legislation increases the death tax exemption, providing relief for family-owned businesses that must devote significant time and resources planning around the burdensome and unfair tax.
Workers will see continued tax relief thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill which expands and makes key individual tax cuts enacted in 2017 permanent such as lower tax brackets, the standard deduction and the child tax credit.
The reconciliation bill also includes tax provisions that will help grow the economy and encourage business investment such as the restoration of 100% bonus depreciation, the restoration of full expensing for research and development expenses, and the expansion of Section 179 small business expensing.
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act contains much needed tax relief for small businesses and workers. We urge lawmakers to pass this reconciliation bill into law.
