Washington, D.C. – The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) strongly opposes President Biden’s executive order signed today, which prioritizes federal grants for projects that favor unions.

Brian Wild, NAW Chief Government Affairs Officer, released the following statement:

“Today’s executive order signed by President Biden is another clear example of prioritizing union interests over the broader needs of taxpayers and small businesses. This executive order undermines democratic principles, increases costs, stifles competition, all while ignoring the needs of the broader economy in favor of special interests. This order will raise costs for taxpayers while sidelining many innovative, efficient, non-union contractors, many of whom are small businesses.”
