Today marks day 34 of the government shutdown, and there’s still no end in sight. The impacts of the shutdown are starting to be felt beyond Washington as travelers are experiencing flight delays and cancellations, and SNAP benefits are facing disruptions. Federal worker unions are now urging Congress to pass a clean spending bill as workers have already missed their first paycheck.
