All eyes are on the election next week, including ours. However the world does not stop and wait for the elections. In fact, actors both foreign and domestic often take advantage of American politicians’ distractions. Government agencies continue to push new policies, unions continue to strike, and foreign powers push their various agendas. So, we here at NAW work to do two things well, stay on top of the shifting policy landscape while trying as best as we can to shape the future political landscape. To try and separate the two worlds a bit and make the flood of information more digestible over the next few weeks, this update will focus on some key policy news, and we will send a separate election focused update in the coming days.
