The House of Representatives has started writing their “One Big Beautiful Bill.” Part of that process is for 11 separate committees in the House to “mark-up” their portion of the legislation, pass it out of committee, then have them all compiled together into an omnibus to be voted on by the whole House. The two largest and most complicated portions are up this week when the Energy and Commerce Committee and the Ways and Means Committee are scheduled to mark-up their bills.
This is first time the public will see what plans Republicans have for tax cuts and changes to Medicare, and where the rubber hits the road on how NAW’s priorities stack up against others.
