While normally we discuss Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in our state newsletter, a victory lap is due. Last Friday, Judge Simon in federal District Court in Oregon granted injunctive relief on EPR enforcement for NAW members doing business in Oregon. A major win for our Legal Policy Center and for our member companies as we gear up for a trial date in July.
While NAW was busy on the Pacific Coast, D.C. didn’t slow down, reopening the government after a short four-day shutdown, and this week confronting the need to cut a deal to fund the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for the remainder of the year, the negotiations are interesting to watch.
