The Ohio robotic systems integrator adds engineering and integration capabilities to Capital Machine’s equipment offering in its first acquisition since partnering with Rotunda Capital Partners.
Tampa, FL-based metal fabrication machinery distributor Capital Machine announced Oct. 14 that it acquired West Chester, OH-based KC Robotics. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal is Capital Machine’s first acquisition since partnering with private equity firm Rotunda Capital Partners in March 2025.
Founded in 1990, KC Robotics designs and builds custom robotic automation systems. Its capabilities include welding, assembly, cutting, grinding and finishing, material handling, CNC machine tending and injection mold machine tending. The company also offers standardized robotic systems and holds A3 Certified Robot Integrator status.

Capital Machine said the acquisition enables customers to obtain equipment, system engineering and robotic integration from one provider, backed by its aftermarket service organization.
“KC Robotics brings the engineering depth to design and deliver complete systems. Our aftermarket service organization will stand behind those systems for the long run,” Capital Machine CEO Dan DeBickero said.
KC Robotics will retain its name and remain under CEO Kyle Carrier’s leadership. Customers will continue working with the same engineering and project management team while gaining access to Capital Machine’s equipment portfolio and service program.
Branding itself as the largest distributor of metal fabrication machines and robotic welding in the U.S., Capital Machine has distributed and serviced fabrication equipment since 1984. Its portfolio spans bending, cutting, sawing, rolling, deburring and finishing equipment, robotic welding and software. The company also provides preventive maintenance, installation support and operator training.
Capital Machine operates showrooms in Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis and Harrisburg, PA, and provides field service across 22 states.
