Plumbing, HVAC and industrial supplies distributor F.W. Webb opened a new 140,000-square-foot store and warehouse in Amherst, NY, on Oct. 26, significantly expanding its capabilities in the greater Buffalo market.

Located at 735 South Youngs Road, the facility offers an expanded inventory of plumbing, heating, HVAC/R and industrial products for contractors, facility operators and other trade professionals.

The new operation includes a 65,500-square-foot warehouse, 12,500-square-foot self-service counter area and three-acre paved outdoor storage yard. Other features include a drive-through pipe barn, dedicated will-call pickup center and training space accommodating more than 40 participants.

“We’ve developed strong relationships with trade professionals through our stores in upstate New York and across the Northeast, and we see a significant opportunity to build on that success in the Buffalo area,” F.W. Webb COO Bob Mucciarone said.

F.W. Webb entered the Buffalo market in 2022 through its acquisition of Stritt & Priebe. The wholesale counter at its existing Buffalo facility is relocating to Amherst, while the former location will become a dedicated valve repair, testing and maintenance shop operated by F.W. Webb subsidiary Alliance Specialty Group.

More than 40 employees have transferred to Amherst, with the distributor planning to hire another 15. A 6,230-square-foot Frank Webb Home bath, kitchen and lighting showroom is scheduled to open at the facility in 2027.

Other 2026 Facility Expansions

The Amherst opening follows several other facility investments F.W. Webb has made throughout the Northeast this year, including:

• Central Islip, NY (July 13): Opened a 143,000-square-foot store and warehouse on Long Island, stocking more than 20,000 products. The expansion also supports planned upgrades to the company’s fire sprinkler fabrication capabilities in nearby West Babylon.
• Whippany, NJ (July 13): Opened a 27,000-square-foot store and warehouse, replacing its former Madison, NJ, location. The larger facility provides expanded inventory and will-call services.
• Queensbury, NY (May 18): Relocated to a 90,000-square-foot store and warehouse featuring more than 20,000 products, expanded water works inventory and an on-site training center.
• Somerdale, NJ (April 7): Opened a 44,000-square-foot wholesale store and warehouse serving the greater Philadelphia market, expanding the company’s mid-Atlantic footprint.

Meanwhile, F.W. Webb is constructing a second central distribution facility in Hazleton, PA. The 738,000-square-foot warehouse is scheduled for completion in 2Q27, complementing its existing central distribution center in Londonderry, NH.

Celebrating its 160th anniversary in 2026, Bedford, MA-based F.W. Webb operates more than 100 locations across nine Northeastern states and employs more than 3,700 people.
