Clyde Fessler

Biography

Clyde Fessler is considered by many to be the marketing guru behind the dramatic turnaround of Harley-Davidson and the rebuilding of that brand. Fessler joined Harley-Davidson in 1977 as the Advertising and Promotion Manager and over the following 25 years held vice president positions over numerous departments within the company. During those years he created and directed the plan that made the Harley Brand a respected household name and inducted into the Marketing Hall of Fame. Fessler retired as the Vice President of Business Development in 2002 and is busy now fulfilling his dreams by exploring the world on one of his three custom Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Clyde’s book, Rebuilding the Brand: How Harley-Davidson Became King of the Road, won marketing book of the year in 2012.
