Beth Gazley, PhD is Associate Professor of Nonprofit Management in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA)
at Indiana University–Bloomington.
She has collaborated with the American Society of Association Executives since 2007, coauthoring the Decision to Volunteer
and Decision to Give
books. Her latest book with ASAE is What Makes High Performing Boards: Effective Governance Practices in Member-Serving Organizations
. She also coedited a special issue of research on associations for the academic journal, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly
. Before entering academia, Beth spent 16 years in public interest politics and the nonprofit sector.
