Garold E. Swan


Gary Swan has more than 30 years experience in the building products industry, most recently as Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of SRS Acquisition Corporation. In that role, he is responsible for all aspects of financial management of the company, including treasury functions, controllership, information services and credit management. Mr. Swan began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Portland, OR, spending nearly 12 years with the firm. In 1988, he was recruited to become controller of Fibreboard Corporation, an American Stock Exchange company that had been recently spun-off from Louisiana-Pacific Corporation. During his tenure at Fibreboard, Mr. Swan was intimately involved in multiple acquisition and divestiture activities, transforming Fibreboard from a regional forest products manufacturer to the second largest vinyl siding manufacturer in North America, and the operator of the largest specialty building products distribution network. Mr. Swan was Vice President of Finance at the time Fibreboard was sold to Owens-Corning in July 1997. In 1998, Mr. Swan was Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of P.C. Service Source, a Dallas, TX based distributor of personal computer replacement parts, where he was responsible for financial management, credit and purchasing. From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Swan was Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Cameron Ashley Building Products, a NYSE-listed building products distributor with $1.2 billion in annual revenues and 165 locations across the United States and Canada. Cameron Ashley was sold to Guardian Industries in June of 2000. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Swan was Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of Shelter Distribution. While at Shelter, he was responsible for all phases of financial management and information services, and was instrumental in completing the 4 acquisitions that allowed Shelter to grow from a $170 million, 21 location operations to a $342 million, 53 location operations when it was sold to Beacon Roofing Supply in October 2005. Mr. Swan holds a BS in Business Administration, with honors, from Oregon State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
