Doug Hohner

Biography

Doug Hohner is a Senior Partner and Managing Director in the Chicago office of BCG. He joined the firm in 1999. Doug leads the industrial goods practice in the Great Lakes & Canada region, and is the global topic leader for Corporate Development issues within the Industrial Goods sector At BCG, Doug has worked across a wide range of industries. He has worked extensively in strategy development and execution, with a particular focus on corporate value creation, corporate finance, and business unit strategies. He has extensive experience across a range topics and industrial sectors: Corporate TSR strategy development Multiple private equity due diligence engagements M&A Strategy, due diligence, transaction support and post-merger integration Competitive economics and business strategy development Sales and service force organization, incentives, route and coverage structures Product strategy and pricing Multiple operational turnarounds of low performance companies / divisions Multiple supply chain improvement engagements on various topics Doug holds an MBA from the University of Chicago with concentrations in finance and strategic management, and both a Bachelors of Science and a Masters of Engineering in Operations Research from Cornell University Prior to joining BCG, Doug worked with Andersen Consulting as a project manager in various applications of decision sciences to pricing and operations management, and as an associate in the Merchant Banking Group at GE Capital
