BiographyBrian Heath is a currently a Consultant for Operations Research and Analytics at Cardinal Health where he provides advanced modeling and decision making support for Cardinalís Pharmaceutical Distribution Supply Chain. While at Cardinal he has developed state-of-the-art computer simulation models of warehouse operations that have led to the execution of award winning projects and innovations.
Prior to working at Cardinal, Brian was an Operations Research Analyst at the Headquarters of the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command and provided strategic decision support for the world-wide sustainment of U.S. Air Force weapon systems. Brian has also worked for H.B. Maynard, an industrial engineering consulting firm (now Accenture), where he helped clients improve their warehouse operations and invented work measure techniques that are today standard in the development of engineered labor standard for distribution centers.
Brian obtained a Ph.D. in Engineering with focus in Industrial and Human Systems from Wright State University in 2010, a M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Wright State University in 2008, and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Kettering University in 2006. He is a member of the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS) and the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), and is an expert in Agent-Based Modeling, Computer Simulation, Validation Philosophy, Scientific Model Building, and Work Measurement.
