John Buckley has been in the wholesale distribution association management business for almost 30 years. He spent 25 years with the National Paper Trade Association (NPTA). He has held a wide variety of positions in the association management business. Starting out in the member services side of the industry working on retention and recruitment, through research and economic reporting. He managed the 8,500 attendee/350 booth trade show of NPTA. In addition, he was one of the founders of the Paper and Plastics Education Research Foundation (PAPER) and publisher of the award winning association magazine, Sales & Management News.
He has served on the Board of Directors of NAW, the Distribution Research and Education Foundation (DREF), and the US Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100. Mr. Buckley represented the United States for 20 years at the annual meetings of EUROPA and the Common Market Congress of the Paper Industry.
Currently, Mr. Buckley is the Executive Vice President of the Industrial Supply Association, a newly formed trade group representing manufacturers, distributors, and independent representatives of industrial supplies used in maintenance, repair, operations, and production in the manufacturing industry. He serves as the chief operating officer of the association.
Mr. Buckley has served on the Board and has been an advisor to four start up companies in the real estate development, technology, and digital advertising, areas.
