Laurie Kane-Sellers is V.P. of Human Resource Development at TTI in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to joining TTI in September 2006, she was a Lecturer in the Industrial Distribution Program in the nationally eighth-ranked Dwight College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. She also served as the Education Foundation Director for National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA) for six-years. During her twenty-year tenure at Texas Instruments, Inc., Laurie also worked in various sales, marketing, and management positions. Her entire career has been concentrated in distribution channel activities.
She recently finished her PhD. in Human Resource Development with a minor concentration in Industrial Distribution. Her research interests include employee retention and turnover, managing a multi-generational workforce, change management, human resource development interventions, and leadership. Laurie holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a M.A. in Speech Communications from Texas Tech University.
She is primary co-author of Connecting Resources: A Primer for Electronics Distribution and editor of Electronics Primer: The Products, The Market, The Players. While at NEDA, she developed and served as editor of the Review of the Electronics and Industrial Distribution Industries, a bi-annual journal dedicated to research on cutting edge distribution processes and technology.
