The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors sent letters to the Federal Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Justice requesting them to investigate the General Services Administration’s (GSA) proposed e-Marketplace platform and Amazon’s unfair and anti-competitive practices and processes.  Under GSA’s Sec. 846 program, Amazon and perhaps one other entity, will be the gatekeeper to sell commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products to federal agencies.  In choosing and charging suppliers who can use the channel, Amazon’s powerful position in supply chain infrastructure, fulfillment, shipment, transportation, delivery and tracking presents a multitude of options for it to pursue its own interests at the expense of other suppliers.
