A principal value of NAW membership is the opportunity for networking and benchmarking within the entire wholesale distribution industry. Since NAW members represent all lines of trade, NAW is uniquely positioned to create programs and opportunities for executives to learn from peers with whom they do not compete. To accomplish this we have two specialized programs the Billion Dollar Company Program and the Large Company program and they are outlined below.
Specialized Emphasis Programs
All NAW programs and benefits are structured to take a minimum of an executive's time. NAW has no committees, no conventions, no trade shows, no golf outings. If you are looking for those, NAW is not the place for you. If, however, you are looking for an organization that has broken the traditional mold and focuses on providing a measurable return on investment, then this is the place to come.
Billion Dollar Company Emphasis Program
Created to meet the distinct needs of senior executives from enterprises with sales in excess of one billion dollars, these programs offer strategic networking opportunities and specialized Roundtables for the CEO, CFO, HR, CIO, Chief Legal Officer and Operations officers. These programs are designed to leverage executives' precious time, and deliver tangible results quickly.
Large Company Emphasis Program
The NAW Large Company Emphasis Program is for companies with sales in excess of $100 million. The goal of the Large Company Emphasis Programs is to provide strategic networking opportunities with non-competing peers and for NAW to serve those member/customers as a business resource.
Additional benefits for NAW Large Company Emphasis Program members include specialized programs to network outside of your traditional commodity line with peers in the industry with whom you do not compete. Why re-invent the wheel when you can participate in an NAW large company event and learn from others in the industry. NAW has a specific meeting for the CEO/COO.

One of NAW's primary purposes is to represent the wholesale distribution industry before Congress, the White House, and the judiciary on issues that cross the industry's many lines of trade. These concerns include health care reform, taxes, product liability reform, inside sales, business perpetuation, labor/management relations, and employee benefits.
NAW Institute for Distribution Excellence
For nearly four decades, the NAW Institute (formerly the Distribution Research and Education Foundation) has worked with academia and the distribution consulting community to advance the state of knowledge in wholesale distribution. More than 50 wholesale distribution research studies have been produced by the NAW Institute since 1982.
NAW Service Corporation
The NAW Service Corporation, a wholly-owned for-profit subsidiary of NAW, was created to leverage wholesaler-distributors' buying power to offer high quality insurance and other business programs at competitive rates.
