“The NAW Billion Dollar CIO Roundtable is an excellent forum for like-minded executives to network and exchange ideas. Time invested attending these Roundtables are time well spent.”

Amin Noormohamed, VP & Chief Information Officer, Core Mark International Inc

The NAW Billion Dollar Company Chief Information Officer Roundtable for direct members was created as a new mechanism for the CIO’s of large distribution enterprises to network with non-competing peers in multiple lines of trade on key IT issues.

Similar to other billion dollar roundtables NAW has created for the CLO, CFO, Operations, and CHRO, this by invitation only roundtable is composed of executives from billion dollar companies that meet in Chicago two times per year. This highly interactive group consists of the SENIOR-MOST IT executives. The annual fee is $1,800 per member, which covers meeting costs for two events in a twelve month cycle. Participants are expected to cover the cost of their hotel and travel. Once the annual fee is paid, there are no additional fees to attend the meetings, which will last one day beginning with a reception and dinner the evening before.

The participating companies can also name an alternate who can take the place of the enrolled Executive, should that person be unable to attend the scheduled meeting.

If you would like to learn more please contact John Peter, Adam Isenberg or Tara Mostatab at 202.872.0885.

Eligibility: Companies with $1B+ in annual revenue.
The NAW Billion Dollar Roundtable is the only opportunity that provides networking and benchmarking exclusively with other top executives of non competing, like-sized Wholesale-Distribution companies.

Digitizing the Current Business Processes is the Future of our Industry

Dane Poeske, Global Industry Leader, IBM

Businesses must translate huge amounts of information and then digitize their entire end-to-end processes to be more flexible and nimble or they will not survive. There are three disruptive technologies that are being tested and deployed across the globe to manage the rapidly growing demands from our customers. Watson is one new technology to help organizations manage information and make better informed decisions quickly. The second is Blockchain, which digitizes transactions between parties to create an unalterable system of record. Finally, the Internet of Things (IoT) can track the physical movement of goods and monitor the performance of these goods in new and exciting ways.

These three technologies can fundamentally change the way products and services are managed throughout the existing business ecosystem. You can hear more about these technologies from Dane Poeske, IBM global industry solutions leader on December 6th at the NAW Billion Dollar CIO Roundtable meeting.

9:30 AM – 9:45 AM

9:45 AM – 11:00 AM
General Session & Discussion

Kaushik Malladi, Associate Partner: Consumer Products & Retail Industry Center of Competency, IBM

Enterprises have to fundamentally reinvent themselves to stay competitive in this digital world. CEO’s are looking to drive productivity, develop new business models and gain trust of their customers. Blockchain is an open distributed ledger that cryptographically encrypts all transactions. It enables enterprises to harvest the power of their networks through trusted, transparent and streamlined processes. While Blockchain has been popularized by the financial industry its intrinsic value is driving adoption in life sciences, consumer products, distribution, government and retail industries.

The Wholesale distribution industry is characterized by complex business networks and fast supply chains that frequently create friction between the enterprises. In this discussion, Kaushik Malladi will discuss how Blockchain can help distributors eliminate friction by providing a trusted and transparent platform to manage supply chain and financial processes.
