We are currently in the process of finalizing our virtual Fall 2020 program. Please check back for updates. Please contact Tara Mostatab at if you have any questions.

The NAW Billion Dollar Company Chief Information Officer Roundtable for direct members was created as a new mechanism for the CIO’s of large distribution enterprises to network with non-competing peers in multiple lines of trade on key IT issues.

Similar to other billion dollar roundtables NAW has created for the CLO, CFO, Operations, and CHRO, this by invitation only roundtable is composed of executives from billion dollar companies that meet in Chicago two times per year. This highly interactive group consists of the SENIOR-MOST IT executives. The annual fee is $1,800 per member, which covers meeting costs for two events in a twelve month cycle. Participants are expected to cover the cost of their hotel and travel. Once the annual fee is paid, there are no additional fees to attend the meetings, which will last one day beginning with a reception and dinner the evening before.

The participating companies can also name an alternate who can take the place of the enrolled Executive, should that person be unable to attend the scheduled meeting.

If you would like to learn more please contact Tara Mostatab at 202.263.4080 or

Eligibility: Companies with $1B+ in annual revenue.
The NAW Billion Dollar Roundtable is the only opportunity that provides networking and benchmarking exclusively with other top executives of non competing, like-sized Wholesale-Distribution companies.

Developing your Marketplace Strategy

Alex Moazed, Founder and CEO, Applico

For many years, wholesaler-distributors were torn between selling their products on marketplaces in order to make them more available and visible to their customers or staying off them, concerned that the investment required may not be worth it. It is now apparent that there are many advantages of selling on marketplaces, one being that you’ll have access to an already engaged audience. At this session, you’ll leave with key take ways on how to build both your eCommerce and marketplace strategy.

Alex Moazed founded Applico in 2009 when he was 20 years old and funded the company with his own credit cards.

Alex co-authored the best-selling book, Modern Monopolies, which defines the platform business model dominating the 21st century economy. In his role as CEO, he works directly with Fortune 500 C-suites and boards to help them build or buy their own platform businesses.

Alex is a graduate of Babson College, Choate Rosemary Hall and Greenwich Country Day School.

Tri Tran is responsible for the company’s product development and engineering effort and is a member of the executive team. He has over 20 years of startup experience, leading business, operations and engineering teams.

Prior to Applico, Tri co-founded Munchery in 2011, an on-demand meal delivery service that delivers a variety of nourishing, affordable, chef-cooked meals right to your door. As CEO, he raised over $120M in venture capital and expanded the services across several major U.S. cities.

Tri received his Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and came to the United States from Vietnam when he was 11 years old.
