Extended Description

Trendcast uses your company’s historical sales data and finds proven, effective leading indicators that will always warn you of future changes in the economic environment.

Analysts from the Institute for Trend Research (ITR®) discuss the results of your company’s Trendcast analysis with you and your team at length via a telephone conference.

Trendcast users can keep Trendcast data and charts updated through access to the ITR Web site.

Here’s how Trendcast works:

The Trendcast process utilizes your company’s sales data and the following four processes, all of which are conducted by ITR:

  1. Investigation: In confidence, you provide your distribution firm’s historical sales data to ITR on a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
  2. Research: ITR examines your data, discovering industry and leading indicator relationships.
  3. Analysis: This is the core of Trendcast and is performed by ITR’s top economic analysts. ITR’s understanding of market timing and cyclical relationships yields insights into when your firm should make moves on sales, inventory, capital expenditures, and more.
  4. Consultation: An ITR economic analyst delivers in-depth findings to you in a confidential telephone conference. Members of your team are instructed on how to maintain your proprietary Trendcast data going forward in a spreadsheet format.

The result of your firm’s Trendcast: You’ll have a clear understanding of which phase of the business cycle is coming next for your business and your industry.
