You will hear how ─ even without any action by Congress to pass the so-called Employee Free Choice Act or other legislation ─ a labor-friendly National Labor Relations Board has consistently implemented rules and policies that make it easier for unions to organize and represent new workers, more difficult for employers during collective bargaining, and provide new and unprecedented rights to employees in non-union workplaces.

Presentation & Discussion - "Looking Back and Looking Forward: Challenges in Executive Compensation"
Michael Sorensen
Principal, Exequity, LLPThis discussion will look at the recent history of executive compensation, what issues have impacted recent pay designs, how shareholders feel about pay programs, and why they feel that way. We will then discuss how these areas will impact future incentive designs and address the most critical area of executive pay: linking pay and performance.
The discussion will address:
• Recent volatile economic performance and volatile stock price performance and their influence on pay
• Say on Pay and Say When on Pay votes and their influence on pay
• Shareholder influences on pay (particularly Institutional Shareholder Services)The discussion will then look at how our recent experiences will likely impact future incentive designs, both annual and long-term, and we will address various considerations for the design of programs in the future. Finally, we will spend some time defining what is meant by pay and performance and whether or not pay and performance are being measured appropriately.
